Getting verified on Spotify is easy when you use DistroKid (and takes less than a minute). 

Just log in to your DistroKid account, click the DistroKid Features Menu in the upper-right corner, and select Special Access. Click Spotify for Artists and follow the instructions.

Can I claim my Spotify for Artists profile prior to my track's release?

Yep, as long as you upload your music to Spotify via DistroKid at least 4 weeks in advance of the release date.

How do I get on a Spotify playlist?

Spotify gives artists an easy way to pitch music for playlist consideration. Your release date must be at least 3 weeks in the future in order to be considered, which is possible with DistroKid's Musician Plus and Ultimate plans. Learn more about how to pitch a track to Spotify here.

How do I add a new artist to my Spotify for Artists?

Log in to the Spotify for Artists portal on Spotify. Click the 3 dots next to your artist name in the upper-left corner. In the bottom left you'll see your account info. Click the up arrow ^ to expand that. From there, click "Add Team".
