Broom of the system was written as a tribute to two of my greatest artistic influences who died before their time: the author, David Foster Wallace and the musician, Warren Zevon. 

If you are a fan of Wallace, you will find references of his major works peppered throughout Broom of the System (indeed, the title is taken from one of his novels) while we tried our best to replicate the musical style of Zevon.

The song chronicles the life of a woman that slowly unravels.
