Not being trained musician ( did not want to be a busker underground )and starving to death but , studied to be a Pharmaceutical Chemist in the UK…..still starving sort of…saying all this,  classical music got hold of me from my school days playing the contrabass in the school band. Not so classical though then….listened and learned now trying to play it somehow. Please forgive my ignorance.
