This song is about the Freudian theme, Shadow of Self.
Being confronted with the same life lesson over and over again till we learn from it and work on our Shadow side.
Sometimes it is even enjoyable to dwell in the Shadow of Self and fully embrace this part we like to ignore.
But sooner or later we have to change and this can be a painful and lonely process. We need others to point it out to us as we can not see ourselves our own Shadow side. We should not forget to see it as not too serious and laugh about ourselves.This makes it lighter and bearable.
