Black Owned inspired by Solange's "Almeda" was written as a add on to a Research paper I wrote about how cultural appropriations affects communities in the diaspora. The vibe of the paper was very serious and I wanted to make something that represents the strength of black Americans. Although our history is full of hurt and misery we rise in the face of discrimination and erasure of our origins.  We are the standard, the culture, the past, present, and future.
