Beethoven's famous work "Three Equals For Four Trombones" ("Drei Equale für vier Posaunen WoO 30" ("WoOî is Works Without Opus numbers) is famous for being the Funeral music Composed by Beethoven and PLAYED AT BEETHOVEN'S OWN FUNERAL! Originally written by Beethoven for "All Souls Day" (remembrance of the dead on Nov. 2), the piece premiered in 1812. The "Equals" referred to each trombone having equal difficulties in their parts and Beethoven wanted the music to be used for a Funeral. Fifteen years later, on March 26, 1827, Beethoven died. Beethoven's "Equals" was used as the music for Beethoven's own Funeral!
