This is my first NFT. My first step in the NFT space. It will not be my last one, that's for sure. The excitement and energy behind this project has motivated me to release as much music and content as I can. Hope you will enjoy what you hear.
This song that I included "Birds On A Date" is my little weed song. I know, I know...just what the world needs right now is another rap song about weed. You might want to go on and flip this little NFT, if that's your attitude about this. If your cool..then this one is for you, my friend.
So...back story on this track is that I basically wrote it backwards...the intro humming line is all I had..then I kept humming the hook melody. I was outside, taking a smoke break and watching the birds in the back yard. Once I went back in, the hook kind of came to me and I recorded it to a metronome. I heard the melody line of the hook first, lyrics kind of came in last. I then found a "electro" bass, worked out a bassline and filled it in with a drum plugin that emulates the classic Linn drum kit made famous by Prince and countless funk bands. That was pretty much it...oh and then I found some amazing bird sounds while watching some wildlife documentary online, but that was the last thing I added, which is weird since it was such an obvious thing to do.
