Introduction from the artist
8Bit is common term in 2021. It's a genre, an art form, a style and a word DJ's throw in front of their names to be cool. Before the arena parties, before video game music and before the hype there was an original 8Bit - a graffiti artist, filmmaker and hardcore techno producer from South Brooklyn, New York. That's the brand before chiptune clone-kids stole it. And they continue to clone the brand as if their isn't and original. Forget about all that noise! THIS NFT BELONGS TO the OG 8Bit.

The guy behind this NFT released his first record on Digital Hut Records in 1993. He also directed three music videos for other techno artists in the 90s (Atomic Babies, Expansion Union and Frankie Bones). Later he would write and direct the punk rock epic-short, "She's Got an Atomic Bomb" about a punk rock girl who makes a homemade atomic bomb to blow up Brooklyn. Matt Johnson from 'Matt & Kim' shot the film. Later he made the avante-garde film "Shufflemode" about a guy who get's lost in his iPods shuffle. He also wrote a book 'Halal Pork & Other Stories.'

He claims, "I will not stop rocking until I retire." and currently is in a Turkish prison for threatening an oligarchs cousin. By last count though, he had released 4 full lengths albums over 50 songs under different aliases on several techno compilations. After the fall of the label Brooklyn Music Ltd in 1999, he released what would be his first full length album on his own label, "The Dead Tracks", followed up with "Reinterpret" in 2001 and most recently "Neighbor Killing Musak for Post-Millenials" in 2011. A warehouse full of his lost 12", 'War Is!" burned down in 2002 burning all the vinyl with it. This song has stories for dayzzzzzzzzzzz. For contact go to eightbit.com
Perks for NFT owner
Yes, this is the original 8-Bit's newest single, RENEGADE. It's the sum total of over 30 years of hard living by a classic relatively known but somewhat obscure original raver techno artist from the 90s. Owning this NFT would be like being alive in 93 and being one of the lucky ones to own 8Bit's freshman classic record, "Emanationz", a collectable 7" white vinyl (http://www.discogs.com/8bit-Untitled/release/223927) distributed in Europe and the United States. There were only 300 of those pressed and now is your chance to be in the mix with this new wave of the old brand.
